壓電式加速度傳感器,又稱振動傳感器,是基于壓電晶體的壓電效應工作的。某些晶體在一定方向上受力變形時,其內部會產生極化現象,同時在它的兩個表面上產生符號相反的電荷;當外力去除后,又重新恢復到不帶電狀態,這種現象稱為“壓電效應",具有“壓電效應"的晶體稱為壓電晶體。常用的壓電晶體有石英、壓電陶瓷等,在現代生產生活中被應用于許許多多的方面,如手提電腦的硬盤抗摔保護,目前用的數碼相機和攝像機里,也有加速度傳感器,用來檢測拍攝時候的手部的振動,并根據這些振動,自動調節相機的聚焦。壓電加速度傳感器還應用于汽車安全氣囊、防抱死系統、牽引控制系統等安全性能方面。

The Dytran 3196C is a high temperature charge mode accelerometer, designed to reliably operate in temperatures up to +500°F (+260°C). Featuring a nominal sensitivity of 8 pC/g, hermetic sealing, and a rugged stainless steel construction, the model 3196C is expressly designed for use in extreme environments. Units are offered with an industry standard tri-bolt mount and radial TNC connector.
