2000年之后,WALZ公司馬上開始著手調制葉綠素熒光成像系統IMAGING-PAM的研發,并于2001年在澳大利亞召開的第12屆光合作用大會上正式發布,受到了熱烈歡迎。這就是后來所謂的標準版IMAGING-PAM。應客戶需求,2003年WALZ開發出了測量面積更小、但放大倍數更大的MICRO-探頭。2004年LED技術進一步取得突破,WALZ隨后馬上開發出了測量面積更大的(10 cm x 13 cm)的MAXI-探頭,并在加拿大召開的第13屆光合作用大會上發布,引起了劇烈反響。2005年,WALZ再接再厲,進一步開發出了MINI-和MICROSCOPY-探頭,與之前的MAXI-和MICRO-探頭一起,組成了M系列調制葉綠素熒光成像系統IMAGING-PAM,*替代了標準版IMAGING-PAM。
